1. Is there a fee to register?
No, the event is free. However, we encourage everyone to take part in the day by fundraising beforehand. Knowing you have your family & friends support makes it even more fulfilling and fun!

2. If I have pre-registered, do I need to check-in somewhere?
Yes, registration tables will be at the Friendship Circle Center. They open at 11:00 AM. Please make sure to check into by the registration tables to receive your free t-shirt!

3. Can I register on the day of the walk?
Yes, registration tables will be at the Friendship Circle Center. They open at 11:00 AM.
However to minimize your wait time we recommend registering online.

4. Where should I park?
As we finalize the parking details, you will receive an e-mail with updates. There will also be signs pointing you towards the parking areas.
|

5. How do I pick up my car that is by the starting point?
There will be shuttle service beginning at 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM from Willow Elementary School back to the Friendship Circle Center. There is no charge to use the shuttle service.

|
6. Can I come to only the festival activities at Willow Elementary School? Yes, the festival and activities will be running from 1:30 PM- 3:30 PM.
|
|
|
|
|
|
7. Will there be food & water? And is there a charge?
Yes, we will be providing food & refreshments both at the Willow Elementary School for a fee. Water will be provided free of charge at the beginning and end points of the walk.
|

|
|
|
|
8. Will there be any services for emergencies throughout the day?
Yes, we will have a first aid station along with the Agoura Hills Fire Department and Ambulance on hand.

1. Can I make a donation to a team?
Yes. You can make a donation to a member on a team or you can make a general team donation.
|
|

2. What is a recurring Gift?
If you are making a donation online, you can use a recurring gift option to make your donation in installments. Donations made via mail can also be made in installments. Please contact the Friendship Circle for more information.

3. How does the Friendship Circle utilize the contributions?

5. Who should I make my check out to?

6. How do I find a participant's personal fundraising webpage?
Click on donate to a walker, and search by their first or last name.

7. How quickly can I expect an online donation to post to a participant's fundraising account?
Any donation made online should post immediately. If an online donation does not post within 24 hours, please contact the Friendship Circle

8. Are donations tax-deductible?
All monetary donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

9. For Canadian donations made online with a credit card, will the amount entered in U.S. dollars?
Yes. For Canadian donations made online with a credit card, the amount entered in the online donation form will be in U.S. dollars.

10. Do all donors who mail their donations receive a receipt?
Any donor who mailed their donation and provided an address will receive a receipt via mail once the donation has been processed. If you made your donation in installments, you will receive a receipt each time a monthly payment is processed. .

11. Do all donors who contribute online receive a receipt?
Yes, anyone who donates online, regardless of the amount, will receive a receipt via email. If you made your donation in installments, you will receive an email receipt each time a payment is processed.

12. What is the Friendship Circle Tax ID number?
A tax ID number identifies the Friendship Circle as a 501(c)(3) non-profit Organization. The Friendship Circle Tax Id number is 42-1607378

13. How do I add a dedication when I make a donation?
When you make a donation online, you can designate what you want to appear as your recognition name on the participant's Honor Roll. This may be your name, or it could be something such as "From the whole Wolf family" or "in memory of Aunt Cathy."

1. What can I do if a check is written out to me personally?
If a donation check has been written out to you personally, you may endorse the back of the check and mail it in with a completed donation form to the Friendship Circle.
|

2. Can I mail a cash donation in with a donation form?
It is not a good idea to send a cash donation in the mail. You may drop of the cash at the Friendship Circle along with a completed donation form or you can deposit the cash into your checking account and send a personal check from your account with a completed donation form. The donation will be credited to the name on the donation form.

3. How quickly can I expect an online donation to post to my Headquarters Page?
Any donation made online should post to your Participant Center immediately. If your donation does not post within 24 hours, please contact the Friendship Circle.

4. Can I enter a check online?
You can't enter a check online. What you can do is enter a check as a pledge. This can be done in the tools section of your headquarters page. The status of the check will be pending until the check is received by the Friendship Circle.

5. A donor is requesting a tax ID number; what is that and how can I get it?
A tax ID number identifies the Friendship Circle as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Many donors will request this number to validate their donation as tax-deductible. The Friendship Circle Tax Id number is 42-1607378

6. Where can I find my donation form to download, print and mail?
Look for the link in the tools section of your headquarters page.

7. Not all of my donors are showing up in the Honor Roll. Why?
As your donors make a contribution, they have the option of whether or not they want to appear in the Honor Roll. The option to appear in the Honor Roll is only available to donors who make their donation online.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
8. Where can I find a list of the people who have donated to me?
Log in with your username and password to visit your headquarters page. Click on the Reports button and you will find a list of all of your donors as well as a list of all donors to your team if you are the team captain.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
9 .How can I send a thank you email to my donors?
You can do this in 2 ways. After you have logged in and have entered your headquarters. You can click on emails, select a thank you template or create your own. Then you can go to your address book and select who you would like to send your thank you email to. If you are not sure who donated you can click on Reports. Next to each donor is a check box select the check boxes that you would like to send an email to. Then click send (directly above the donor list). This will take you to your email center where you can choose a thank you template or create your own.

10. Why I am receiving emails telling me that I've received a donation?
You are receiving these emails because during the registration process, you selected the option "I would like to be emailed when a donation is made on my behalf." If you would like to stop receiving these emails (or start receiving these emails, if you didn't elect to receive them when you registered), you can turn notifications on or off in your profile. To edit your profile log in to your headquarters and on the right side in your to do list you can edit your profile.

1. Can I move my 2009 personal page to my 2010 Headquarters?
The answer is yes and no. Your address book with all your contacts will be moved over however your email templates and page personalization will not.

2. Is my 2010 Friendship Walk username and password the same as my 2009 username and password?
Yes, it is. If you are having trouble remembering your user name and password you can contact the Friendship Circle and we can send you a reminder email.
|

3. What is my personal page URL?
A personal URL is a shortened link to your team or personal page that you can send to friends and family in emails. A personal URL will look like this www. FriendshipWalk.org/ben

4. Can a donor add a dedication message that appears in my fundraising honor roll?
When a donor makes a donation online, s/he can enter text to appear on the fundraising honor roll. This may be the donor's name, or it could be something like "From the whole Wolf family" or"In Memory of Aunt Cathy".
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
5. Why am I getting logged out of the Friendship Walk website?
For security reasons, the website will time out if you are inactive for 20 minutes or more. Being active means clicking a link on the site. Typing a message does not keep you active on the site, so if you are typing a message, please save regularly. Be warned that there is no prompt to let you know you are being logged out.

| Matching Gift FAQ's |

1. How do I know if a company will offer a matching gift for a donation?
The only way to know for sure is to ask the donor's employer. The donor should check with the human resources department at their company. You can also click here for a list of companies that have a matching gift program. Your company may have a matching gift program even if they are not on this list. |

2. How does a donor apply for a matching gift?
The matching gift process is unique to each company and the donor must check with his/her company to learn about their process, but in general there are two ways that companies process matching gift requests - via paper matching gift forms or an online matching gift database.
|
|
|
|
|
|
3. Will a matching gift count toward the participant's fundraising goal?
Yes. Once the matching gift has been processed, it will be posted on the My Headquarters page. |
