Walk the Extra Mile
Going Above & Beyond
the Letter Campaign
Add a line about the Friendship Walk to your email signature
Advertise the walk to everyone you correspond with by including some wording about it at the end of every email. Include the Friendship Walk web site address and phone number.
Mention the Friendship Walk to everyone you come into contact with.
The more people you approach, the more opportunities you create for reaching your fundraising goals. Talk about the walk in your workplace, when you're with your friends, at family gatherings and social events.
Carry a supply of brochures to pass out to people who express interest.
Whenever you get a positive response, hand out a brochure and explain how easy it is to register as a walker or make a donation.
Host an event at Friendship Circle.
Schedule a time where you can bring your friends, family and coworkers to a Friendship Circle program to see the program in action. Don't just tell them, show them how much Friendship Circle means to you! (contact the office to schedule)
Enlist a corporate sponsor.
Ask a local business you're familiar with to become a corporate sponsor. Tell them about the benefits, such as having their name listed in all of the literature and publicity for the event. Don't forget to mention that their company name will appear on the back of the t-shirts, which are worn by thousands of people during the walk and throughout the year.
